The engine was shipped to Egypt with 15 other class members and placed in store. After repairs the locomotive was renumbered ‘3672’ and on 6th August 1985 was named ‘Dame Vera Lynn’ by the lady herself. ‘3672’ then moved to the North Yorkshire Moors railways and is currently under overhaul having just had a completely refurbished tender, with the fabrication carried out by Ian Rileys of Heywood.
