HOW WE RATE THE CONDITION OF PRODUCTS
Here's a simple guide to how we rate the condition of items:
NewSimple! A brand new item.
As-newThis is one we use often. Many of our pre-owned items have never actually been removed from the box or run at all (unless by us for pictures). We therefore categorize them 'As-new'.
Mint
An item which has been test run or run-in only. Everything looks new, with no marks to the finish.
99% Mint
Essentially the same as mint, except that the model may have been run for a slightly longer period of time. These items usually have a mint exterior finish.
Very near mint/Near mint
An item which is almost in 'Mint' condition. However, we may go on to explain that there's a tiny scratch or slight imperfection (usually unnoticeable or very minor).
Excellent
An item that may have one or two minor faults, such as a missing piece or neat repair. We'll always explain our reasoning behind an 'Excellent' rating.
Very good
This can mean an item has a number of faults but is in overall very good condition. Again, we'll always describe any issues.
